Welcome to our Mint Builder Review!
There has been some buzz about this company so we decided to investigate what it was all about…
Some say it’s a scam while others Mint Builder reviews are saying legit so what is it?
The good news is we are going to walk you through the company, products and compensation plan so you can make the right decision.
Let’s dig into this Mint Builder review…
Mint Builder Review
No information has been provided by Mint Builder on their website about who owns or runs the business.
mintbuilder.com, the Mint Builder website domain was registered on October 12th, 2017.
The owner is listed as Matt Barkes with an incomplete address in West Sussex, UK also provided. As per his Facebook profile, Barkes resides in the US state of Indiana. Presumably, this is where Mint Builder is actually being operated from.
In 2012, Barkes first appeared on the radar as the founder and CEO of ISN Coins.
ISN Coins worked as a pyramid scheme, combining numismatic coins with affiliate autoship recruitment.
In 2014, after the original incarnation of ISN Coins collapsed, a reboot was launched with a new compensation plan.
ISN Coins 2.0 had little to no retail appeal with the original model, and was again focused on affiliate autoship enlistment.
Today, Alexa don’t bother to rank the ISN Coins website domain, pointing out the scheme has long-since collapsed.
Mint Builder seems to be an attempt to bring around ISN Coins under a new name.
A message on the website of ISN Coins acknowledges that the company “is now Mint Builder”.
Why Matt Barkes’ name doesn’t appear anywhere on the website of Mint Builder is uncertain.

There are recruitment commissions on top of that focuses on paying an autoship fee monthly and recruiting others who do the same.
Retail Commissions
The website of Mint Builder and compensation plan mentions retail customers. However, no details on retail commissions are provided.

Recruitment Commissions
The affiliates of Mint Builder pay recruitment commissions through a binary compensation structure.
An affiliate is placed at the top of a binary team by a binary compensation structure, split into 2 sides (left and right).
The 1st level of the binary team houses 2 positions. The 2nd level of the binary team is created by dividing these first 2 positions into another 2 positions each (4 positions).
Following levels of the binary team are created as required, with each new level holding twice as many positions as the previous level.
The binary team’s positions are filled through direct and indirect recruitment of affiliates. There is no limit to how deep a binary team can grow.
Residual binary commissions are calculated through points created on both sides of the binary team.
- enlisting a new affiliate creates 100 points
- a retail customer or enlisted affiliate purchasing a Monthly Graded Mint Coin creates 25 points
Mint Builder tallies up newly generated points at the end of each day on both sides of the binary team.
Affiliates are paid $250 per 250 points matched on both sides of the binary team. This is referred to as a “cycle”.
How many cycles an affiliate of Mint Builder can earn each week is determined by rank:
- Affiliate : 1 cycle ($250)
- Student Mint Builder : 2 cycles ($500)
- Graduate Mint Builder : 4 cycles ($1000)
- Professional Mint Builder : 10 cycles ($2500)
- Master Mint Builder : 20 cycles ($5000)
- Mint President : 40 cycles ($10,000)

Mint Builder Membership
The affiliate membership of Mint Builder is $199 a year.
Summing Up
Mint Builder is the latest unnecessary addition of bitcoin to an existing MLM model.
The retail sales are an addition with affiliate autoship recruitment the main focus as with both iterations of ISN Coins.
Although possible, the website of Mint Builder creates the impression that its retail pricing is a ripoff.
Take a look at the comparison of a few of Mint Builder’s coins into Google for comparison.
- MS70 Graded Mint Coin : Mint Builder want $145 at retail, regular pricing seems to be $32 or so up to $99 with free shipping
- 1oz Silver Round : Mint Builder want $20.09 at retail, regular pricing seems to be $5.25 to $18.95 with free shipping
- American Silver Eagle GEM BU : Mint Builder want $21.75 at retail, regular pricing seems to be $18.95 to $24.95 with free shipping
Whichever Mint Builder’s offering you look up, it seems cheaper retail alternatives are readily available.
Thus begging the question of why anyone would buy from them as a retail customer.
It leaves affiliates, who are strongly encouraged to sign up for a Graded Mint Coin autoship monthly.
Doing thus qualifies the affiliate for commissions, with earnings decided by how many downline affiliates they have doing the same.
It is same as ISN Coins, which is not sustainable owing to it collapsing twice.
While it’s a fact that affiliates of Mint Builder are paying monthly for coins and will be left with a product, the issue here is a lack of retail sales activity. We talk about real coins in this review here.
An MLM company working with little to no retail is a pyramid scheme.
In addition, if collecting minted coins on autoship monthly was the money spinner ISN Coins and its affiliates made it out to be, where are all those affiliates now?
Adding bitcoin to an unsuccessful business model doesn’t make it any more feasible. It will simply siphon up some bitcoin into Matt Barkes crypto wallet, at the cost of those who didn’t experience the 2 ISN Coins failures.
