Many affiliate marketers feel that… there are more SEO strategy failures than SEO successes. May be it is because SEO or Search Engine Optimization… is a very intricate process.
Well, that is not true as SEO has changed over the years. There are now so many tools available for a successful SEO campaign.
However, there are many SEO specialists in the market… who are likely to scare you with their analysis of your site. Obviously, this is because they know that you are new in this field and want your business.
For as many SEO strategies that have been successful, there are also an equal number of SEO strategy failures. So, if your objective is to have a successful SEO strategy, then you must be aware of why some SEO strategies fail.
Some Of The Common Reasons For SEO Strategy Failures.
Keyword stuffing.
The terminology that [content is king] has been around for sometime. This is nothing new to any person working on his or her SEO strategies. However, a newbie affiliate marketer must realize that it is not just content that is king, but, good, or quality content. So, if your strategy is to use poor content with keywords stuffed strategically, then it sure is not going to work. Alternately, the chances of you being banned by search engines due to stuffing, are also high. Stuffing is also going to turn off any potential customer, once they realize your true intentions. Therefore, if you can provide them with quality information and not junk, then more than half the SEO battle is won. Try and ensure that your keyword density is between 3% to 4% of your content.
A dying business cannot be revived by SEO.
If your business is dead or dying, then you are wasting time on SEO. That is to say, if your business is deb-ridden, or bankrupt, or unable to function on a daily basis, then it is pointless hoping for SEO to turn it around. Better to start on a new line of work, try, and promote that through SEO. Try doing some market research, identify a new niche, start a new site or blog, and then promote that using SEO.
Negative publicity and online reputation.
Despite any good SEO, the word of mouth is still considered one of the most powerful and best advertising tools. Likewise, it is no different on the internet. In fact, having a good online reputation is even more of a prerequisite. Given the number of social media platforms, any person has the access to voice their discontent.
Personally, we normally don’t buy any expensive product without doing an extensive online research about the product and about the person marketing it. Obviously, if the customers happen to be dissatisfied with a company, it is obvious that the online community is going to hear about it. So, one has to be extremely careful, as any negative publicity can destroy a business. In other words, if your business happens to have more negative links, rather than its SEO links, then boy! You are in big trouble. As all the search engines will give more importance to the negative links. And, even the best of SEO strategy will not revive it, until these negative links are completely removed. So, always remember to moderate any comments.
Failure to update SEO strategies while renewing a website is another common reason.
Assume that you have commenced a SEO campaign to creating links. Obviously, you will make changes to the site. However, chances are that you may overlook the basic SEO strategies while implementing these changes. Kaboom! You will sudden face a drop in traffic and a drop in page rankings. So always remember to include the basic search engine optimization strategies when updating your websites.
No one can figure out why SEO strategies actually fail. Any affiliate marketer wants his or her SEO efforts to be successful. One way you can ensure this is to not make the same mistakes repeatedly, but instead, learn from them.
Best.. 🙂
