Types Of Affiliate Marketing

There are many types of affiliate marketing, as it covers a variety of subjects.

This is a break from our regular posts, and readers are requested to take the post with the intended humor. This would be specifically useful for newbie affiliates and hence the light reading. We plan to shift to other topics for a few days before we return to affiliate marketing.

If you were asked to describe the various types of online marketing, which let us say comprises of direct marketing, telemarketing, branding, blog marketing, search marketing, and SPAMMING.

You would be at a loss if you were to put it in a few words. Therefore, we have taken the liberty of portraying it specifically, say in today’s lingo…

Direct Marketing

Let us suppose you run into a great woman at a party. You approach her and tell her, “I am fantastic in bed.” Now that is what is known as Direct Marketing.

Telemarketing

Let us assume that you meet up with an awesome woman at a party. You get talking, and you ask for her phone number. The next day you call and tell her, “Hi, I am fantastic in bed.” Now that is what is known as Telemarketing.

Branding

You are again at a party and come across an awesome woman. She walks up to you and says, “I have heard about you – you are fantastic in bed.” Now that is known as Branding.

Blog Marketing

You are hosting a party that has many awesome women. A friend comes up to you and asks, “How do I know which one of them is the most fantastic in bed?” You say, “Well according to the info from the blogs – she is.” This is what is called Blog Marketing.

Search Marketing

You are again hosting a party that has many pretty women. A friend comes up to and asks you, “So many beautiful women, how do they rank in bed?” You reply, “Let us go to my office and Google them, and find out.” This is what is called Search Marketing

Spamming

A guy on his way to a party realizes that there could be pretty women in the houses that he is driving by. Therefore, he decides to climb on the roof of a house, near the center and shouts at the top of his voice, “I am fantastic in bed!” Now this is what is called SPAM.

Referral / Affiliate Marketing

Once again, you are at a party and you refer a guy to go up and talk to a woman because you have heard that “She is really good in bed.” This is what is known as Referral, and in some sort of a way, “Affiliate Marketing.”

Lastly, you tell a guy to go talk to a woman and tell him, “She is really good in bed, a friend of mine told me that she was the best he ever knew, and rated her 10/10.” That is total affiliate marketing with a good pre-sell and a dynamite testimonial.
