Making It To The Shark Tank…
If you have watched the popular show, “Shark Tank” it’s easy to see that there many people out in this world that have the mind and drive to create ideas, products and services that can easily become billion dollar corporations. Then there are some that never get out of the starting gate with Shark Tank.
But, just because this certain group of wealthy people on Shark Tank didn’t see the opportunity in these entrepreneurs that they saw in themselves, doesn’t necessarily mean failure. It only means they weren’t sold on the idea on the show Shark Tank.
There are millions of people in this world that do believe in your ideas and dreams. Learning how to brand / sell YOU is important. In fact, it’s the most important part of selling your product or service. You already have the ball rolling with having the idea, the power to pursue it and the goal of achieving it. The rest is the hardest part, finding the funds to produce it.
In this economy, if you are going to thrive in this world of failing businesses, you better learn to brand /sell yourself, and you need to do it well. Its YOU INC baby! 🙂
Selling yourself, is all about listening to the real wants and the needs and desires of your potential customers and providing the perfect solution to their problem, challenge or void. You need to create a real connection and build a genuine rapport. People do business with people they know (can relate to) like and trust….PERIOD!
There is nothing really tricky or hard about this. Building the attitude needed takes a certain amount of personal building stones or also called Personal Development. You must stick with the process needed, without being sloppy to brand / sell YOU.
In order to set yourself apart from the others, you must make yourself be seen as no one else sees you. You need to make yourself better that what you think you really are, because truth is, YOU ARE! 🙂
What makes a sale?
Let’s face it; a sale is a sale no matter what you’re trying to sell The process is all the same. You are the salesman and what you are selling is YOU. Make a list of all the great qualities you have about yourself that makes you stand out above the others. You are bound to have some or you wouldn’t have attempted what you are trying to convince someone else that you are the best at.
Here are a few tips on how to be successful on selling who you are.
* Stay true to who you are. Be YOU. The best way you can sell who you are is by showing WHO you are. You will meet people that blend with you that enhance your best qualities. If you start out pretending to be something you’re not, in time this is going to be your downfall.
Always…Always…ALWAYS be YOU…REAL…RAW and AUTHENTIC!
* Share who you are. Others want and need to see the person you are. By sharing your mistakes, your success, your failures, this allows others to see who you are and watch you react and respond to issues as they arise.
* Believe in yourself. The only way you can convince another person that you are capable of doing what they are asking is if you believe it yourself. You are your #1 fan and your #1 enemy/ critic.
Smile and let people know no matter what, you can and WILL achieve and overcome. It may not happen when you want it to, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to. Always pat yourself on the back even for baby steps. Baby steps are how we all began.
