We used this line almost exclusively for a long time. Unless we are networking, we really don’t care if others knew that we owned our own online business. If we do meet up with someone new at a party and they happened to ask us what we did for a living, we just casually say that we are bloggers, and it ends there.

Usually, there is the little follow up question of what do you blog, or whom do you blog for… etc. We then casually tell them that we have our own site and we blog for our site. It is difficult for them to put this together, and generally, any further follow-up questions end there, as they do not want to appear stupid.

As a lot of people still feel that blogging is more of a pastime, we are sure, when we tell people that we are bloggers, they just come to the obvious conclusion that we are unemployed.

When we tell people this, they are impressed and in awe about us, although they have little knowledge of what the whole gig is really about. Hence, use this line if you want to impress people, but be warned, as people are curious and be prepared to answer so many questions about it.

When we further go on to explain a bit about it, they are usually excited and have many questions. . “Wow! That is great… By the way, can you tell us, how we could also get into this line of business and does this require a lot of computer and technological expertise and other such similar queries.

How Did You Become An Affiliate Marketer?

We learned how to become an affiliate marketer from scratch. Now this answer generally satisfies most people.

When we first got into this line of business, we were absolutely novices. We are not techies, and we still don’t claim to be people with technical expertise. There is a clear difference between a computer programmer and an online affiliate marketer. Sure enough, we are good at our online fundamentals, but who isn’t, given our hi-tech age. We have kids who are so fluent with the net, so much so that they have made millions before clearing high school.
